REDDING, Calif.–Simpson University, in partnership with Northwest Basketball Camps (NBC), will be offering two overnight summer youth camps this summer on the Simpson campus.
The Complete Player Basketball Camp, which focuses on total skill development on and off the basketball court, will begin on July 23 and end July 26.
The Pure Shooting and Offensive Skills Basketball camp provides the principles behind proper technique utilizing the laws of physics and body mechanics necessary to form a perfect shot every time. This camp will begin on July 20 and end July 22.
A combination of both camps is offered as well, running from July 20 to July 26. All of these camp options are open to both girls and boys from ages 11 to 18.
The Complete Player Volleyball Camp is offered July 15-18 and is open to girls ages 11 to 18.

This is the 15th summer that Simpson has offered NBC camps on its campus.
Simpson University, founded in 1921, moved to Redding almost 30 years ago and will celebrate its centennial in 2021. In addition to offering 25 majors in its traditional undergraduate program, the university has graduated almost 4,000 North State adults from its ASPIRE degree-completion program, and more than 2,500 from its School of Education. It has a highly ranked School of Nursing, a seminary, and master’s programs in counseling psychology and organizational leadership.
Simpson is launching new athletics programs in track and field, swimming and diving, and men’s volleyball, as well as a bass fishing team. The university is also working to better serve transfer students from community colleges through its commitment to Associate Degree for Transfer agreements.
